Got Night Vision?

“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.”
Psalm 119:130

I have a special ability that’s really helpful, and maybe you have it, too.

In the middle of the night, I can get out of bed half-asleep, quietly navigate the dark bedroom, and avoid whacking my limbs on all the jagged edges of the furniture.

I can walk the dark landing and make my way safely down the dark stairwell.
I can make it downstairs, down the dark hallway, and find the exact position of the kitchen light switch in the dark…all without noise and injury.

I’m not a cat. I’m not Superman. I don’t own night vision goggles.
The only reason that I can navigate my house in the dead of night is because I have learned the exact layout of my house in the light.

Light has shown me how to navigate in the darkness.
Light has given me confidence so that when darkness comes I can still move forward without harm.

God’s Word is the light for my soul.
When His beams of truth illuminated my darkened soul, they brought the light that I needed to navigate this world and all of its jagged edges, dangerous stairwells, and dark corridors.
The light of God’s Word has shown me the exact layout of my life and this world. (Psalm 119:105)

If you have the Light of God’s Word in your heart, then thank Him today.
Most people in this world are banged up, bruised up, and in peril of falling down an eternal stairwell to hell because they don’t have the Light of Christ in their souls. (Matthew 7:13-14)

Call upon the Lord Jesus Christ to save your soul from destruction. He’ll give you all the Light you’ll ever need through the wisdom of His Word and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

If you already have His light, then pray for your unsaved loved ones who need the light of the Lord in their lives.
Jesus IS the Light of the world. He desires us to be torches like Him to help others navigate a dark world.

Keep your armor on and the light burning brightly.
