My God is a God of light.
There are no dark thoughts in his heart…only pure, righteous, and holy thoughts.
He cannot abide in the darkness.
Neither should WE abide in the darkness.
Jesus Christ had an awesome way of reaching and ministering to people who were stumbling in darkness.
He reached them, but He never stepped into their world of sin and darkness as a partaker in their evil deeds.
Jesus was a lighthouse, shining forth the light of God to those ships that were being thrashed on the shoals of sin.
He was a matchstick, struck in the deepest cave, that singularly illuminated the entire world…because He was the God of Light in human flesh. (John 8:12)
And as the light of Christ was being extinguished on the cross at Calvary, the Bible says that darkness came over the land for three hours. (Mark 15:33-39)
God the Holy Spirit is also Light, and in Him is no darkness at all.
He will never point at sin and give it His stamp of approval, nor will He lead us into temptation and sin. He will always point our focus back to Jesus Christ, who is the Light of the world. (John 15:26, 1 Peter 1:10-12)
God the Father: God of Light.
God the Son: God of Light.
God the Holy Spirit: God of Light.
Stay close to the Light.
