Warning The Ants

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
John 1:14

Imagine an anthill at the end of your driveway. As you watch the ants busily moving about, it’s quite obvious that they’re oblivious to your presence. All they care about is being ants.

They certainly haven’t heard the weather report calling for heavy rain in the next few hours. They aren’t aware that they’ve built their nest in the lowest part of the driveway, and their whole existence will be washed away in a short period of time.

You care about the ants, so you begin to shout at them, warning them of the danger and ruin that is coming. They pay you no mind. They carry on behaving like ants.

The only way that you can communicate your love and care for them is if you somehow left your human existence and transformed yourself into an ant.
THEN you would be able to save them.

Then you could speak to them, and they would at least understand you.
You could demonstrate your love for them in a relatable manner.
You would experience exactly what it would be like to be one of them.
You would be able to show them a way to be saved from the destruction to come.

Jesus Christ, the Living Word of God, left the perfection of heaven and stepped into this world of sin and filth. He did so to save souls and make a way of escape from the judgment to come. (Luke 13:1-5, John 14:6)
And humanity thanked Him, right? No.

All the other ants turned on Him and condemned Him to death, though He gave His life to save them.
He wanted to save them all. (Luke 19:10)
He still wants to save all of US. (2 Peter 3:9)

That’s love. Amazing love.
Read John chapter 1 again.

GOD walked among us.
GOD gave Himself to save ants like US.

Keep your chin up and your armor on, my fellow warrior ants.
