“The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.
The Lord is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.”
Psalm 9:15-16
God knows how to handle His enemies. He watches them plot, plan, and perform their evil for a time…but then He delivers their destruction.
Sometimes God uses direct action against His enemies:
The wicked world in Noah’s day experienced God’s direct action when He sent a flood of water upon the earth, destroying all life except for those in the ark.
Sodom and Gomorrah experienced direct action when God rained down fire on those cities of sin and evil.
Egypt experienced direct action when God sent the plagues upon Pharaoh’s wicked kingdom.
But sometimes God simply allows natural consequences of sin to destroy the wicked, such as Haman in the book of Esther.
Haman constructed gallows in order to hang Mordecai, but he ended up being hung on his own gallows. (Esther 7)
What were the gallows?
Impalement poles.
How could anyone devise such evil methods of torture for another person?
Because there is a devil who will use wicked people to destroy the righteous and the innocent.
But God has ways of exposing the plans of the wicked in order to wake up the masses. Some of the gallows which have been constructed against free speech, freedom to assemble, bodily autonomy, Christianity, and fair elections will never impale our liberty…instead they will be destroyed, Lord willing.
And it’s my prayer that justice would be served on those who seek to pervert justice for their own benefit.
Please pray that God would reveal the wicked devices arrayed against His people and the innocent worldwide.
May Psalm 9:15-16 be clearly manifested in such a time as this.
