The Establishment: Part Two

“Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.”
Psalm 7:9

The establishment as we know it is a combination of corporate, political, military, and media interests that rule and run the nations.

These powerful groups are made up of individual souls that have sworn allegiance to someone or something.
We see them push ungodly agendas.
We watch them plot and scheme.

God is watching them, too. (Proverbs 15:3)
He’s watching their hearts and reins…in other words, He sees WHAT motivates them, WHO controls them, and WHY they do what they do.

There’s an old saying that goes,
“Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.”

While that’s humorous, and largely true, a more accurate version might be:
“Never underestimate the power of sinful people in large groups.”

It’s not an accident that every major governing body in the world is riddled with corruption.
We would say that they’re known and despised BECAUSE they’re so corrupt.

And they’re corrupt because individuals have sold themselves out for what they can get in this life:

“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”
1 John 2:16

Bottom line:
God wants the wickedness of the wicked to end just like we do, but He will not wave a wand for that to happen.
He will equip you and I to reach individual souls for the cause of Christ…souls that He is wanting to save from destruction.
Pray for those souls in high places who need to be saved.

2 Peter 3:9 is still for everyone.
John 3:16 is still true today.
1 John 1:9 is still a promise.

It’s easy to hate wicked leaders who thrive on corruption, but much harder to intercede for their souls.

My simple prayer is that God would open their eyes, lead them to repentance, and save their souls…and then I pray that God would remove the hard-hearted and replace them with righteous, God-fearing people.

Bare minimum, Christians MUST pray for leadership change.
