He alone is worth following…

“Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.”
3 John 11

We live in a world with a lot of faithful followers, but sadly many people are following vain and evil people.
Everybody wants a following these days, but to get the most “likes” and “follows” in a world of sin you have to attract sinners.

Most social media is an echo chamber. People gravitate toward others who espouse their ideals and desires, and then they fall in line with them…for better or for worse.

I’m not interested in following the Church of Satan Facebook page, the Death Metal Twitter feed, or the Antichrist Society Instragram account.
I don’t want to follow that which is evil. I refuse to follow people who don’t know God.

I don’t follow mainstream news because those liars and propagandists don’t know God.
Broad brush? Perhaps.

I don’t follow secular, worldly music because they sing about sin, lust, perversion, and greed.
Why fill my mind with that garbage and tempt my flesh?

I don’t follow silly sitcoms on TV because they laugh about things that God frowns at. If I’m laughing at things that God frowns upon, my mind needs cleansing and my heart needs refreshing in Him.

DailyArmor Devotionals exist because God opened my eyes to spiritual warfare and gave me a desire to write something about that battle and His Word everyday.
The daily devotions are written to me, and for me, based upon what God is showing me.
If they benefit someone else, praise God.

The goal here is to mark my journey as I follow Jesus, with weekday devotionals that offer insight into what Christ has done in my life.

If I drop down to zero subscribers and followers tomorrow, that’s not a problem. I’ll still remain here typing away, because I’m devoted to Jesus Christ, not followers.

Follow Jesus. Be like Him.
When you truly follow Jesus, the people you gather will likely not be followers of you, they’ll be followers of Jesus, too.
And that’s how we all encourage and keep each other from following evildoers…by keeping our eyes forward on Him rather than behind us on our followers.

Don’t follow me, but please join me in following Christ every single day.

Have a blessed day in Him!
