“Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.”
Psalm 100:3
Sometimes I struggle with trusting God for my strength and my needs.
I’ve lived in this fleshly body for so long that I forget that my flesh isn’t the real me…I’m a living soul existing in a fleshly body in this realm.
And with the aches and pains of aging comes a greater understanding that my body is wearing out and wearing down.
This can be discouraging.
Just being honest.
But it’s not so discouraging that my heart fails me and my faith dries up.
I understand that many things are completely out of my control, like the aging process.
God allows the aging process.
God allows us to get creaky.
It is HE that made US, as the verse above states so clearly.
He made us to live in aging bodies in a corrupted world that is filled with decay…and He knows how to lead us through it.
If it was our choice, we would have made our own flesh bodies perfect and eternal…and thus we would have neglected God and His Word. We’d be set on personal pleasure rather than God’s purpose.
It’s a good thing that HE made US,
even if that means aging and weakness…for when our strength fails, He will always be there for us.
Have a great weekend, in His strength!
