Jesus Christ was born about
600 years after Isaiah was given this prophecy. That’s amazing.
The furthest I can trace my family lineage back is about 150 years.
If I could trace my relatives back 600 years it would be amazing to see who they were and how they lived in the 15th century.
Not many people can trace their lineage backward 600 years, but NOBODY can map their lineage FORWARD even one year, let alone 600 years.
But God sent a man with a message that a certain child would be born (in 600 years) who would own and control the world one day.
God sent words of hope and grace FORWARD to those groping in the darkness of a sinful world…those words were His promise that the Savior was coming.
And the Savior came.
He gave hope and grace to THIS poor soul when I was groping in the darkness of a sinful world, and I’m not alone. Millions of lost souls have trusted Christ as Savior and now carry the Light of the Lord in their lives.
When Scripture declares a prophecy, it’s a rock-solid promise. It is going to happen right on God’s time, and not a second earlier or later.
Rejoice in the fulfilled prophecy of Isaiah 9:6! The Savior came to earth right on time, and we can have hope that He’s going to return right on time, also.
The prophesied Messiah came the first time as a perfect lamb to be slaughtered FOR US…but He’ll come back as a conquering King to rule and reign WITH US.
