“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
The For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.”
Luke 2:10-11
If I were a shepherd and the angel of the Lord appeared unto me at night, I think I would be terrified.
And if I were in a boat and a hurricane descended on me and my crew, threatening our lives, I’m sure I would be scared.
The shepherds were told to “fear not” when the angel came to them.
Three decades later, the disciples in the boat were told to not be afraid when Jesus stood up and calmed the winds and the waves. (Mark 4:39)
God knows that we’re frail, and that our fleshly reaction is to fear the unknown.
But Jesus came to bring peace to our lives…He is the Prince of Peace.
He came to calm the storms.
He came to bring us hope.
He came to light the torch of prophecy and show us the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
The Savior has come!
Whatever storm YOU are facing, He came to calm it and give you peace.
The Savior that slept peacefully in the manger is the same Savior that slept in the hurricane.
No peace? Know peace. His name is Jesus Christ, our Prince of Peace.
