āFor ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:ā
Ephesians 5:8
Stained glass is beautiful, isnāt it?
I love it when the sunlight shines through an old stained-glass window, casting a rainbow of color into the room.
To make a stained-glass sunset, many different sizes of colored glass have to be cut into specific shapes and arranged into a sunset pattern.
To assemble them together, copper foil is carefully wrapped around the entire edge of each piece.
The foiled pieces are arranged in the final pattern, then solder is applied to the adjoining edges to āweldā them all together.
God is the master craftsman.
There was a time when we were black pieces of glass in His eyes.
He couldnāt use us in that state, so He gave us a specific color (purpose) that would carry His light into this world…only Christians carry the dynamic light of Christ.
But thatās not all.
He has made us to be fit together with other believers in a multi-colored, beautiful mosaic of His grace. Weāre individual pieces in His big picture.
A beautiful stained-glass sunset doesnāt have random black pieces scattered throughout.
That would look terrible, and those pieces would not transmit light.
You used to be dark and lost in sin, Christian.
Now, if youāre light in Christ, why bring sin and darkness back into your life?
Be a bright and colorful conduit for His light.

A good devotion well illustrated in the beauty of stained glass, thank you brother. God bless you today š

Thank you for your brief tutorial on working with stained glass. Your analogy comparing it to Christians who shine with the dynamic light of Christ creates a wonderful image of strong believers together in worship. š

I watched a few videos on how to create stained glass lampshades and artworkā¦fascinating. I was always afraid that the glass would easily fall out, but once itās welded together itās quite strongā¦just like the family of God and the body of Christ.š
Bless you today, sister Nancy!
