Plot Twist! Part Two…

To vanquish the power of evil that had humanity in a death grip, God sent His son to this world in the greatest plot twist in history. I love the prophecy of Isaiah 9:6…the multi-faceted description of Christ had to have Satan shaking in his dirty boots.

Usually in a story the plot twist comes as a surprise to the reader. It comes “out of the blue” in shocking fashion. In God’s story, He was so bold as to announce His plot twist 700 years in advance! Only one who holds the trump card can make such a confident announcement…yelling “SURPRISE!” long before the main character in the plot twist has even arrived.

Can I give you the Daily Armor Version of Isaiah 9:6, just for some Christmas fun?

“Attention world! Every day, precious souls are born into this world, but none are perfect, holy, or righteous. There has been an incursion of darkness, corruption, and sin into the human race…thus, there is only imperfection in every person. Satan is working a long-term plan to destroy the human race forever.

But guess what? There will be a specific child born one day who will absolutely rule and reign over all of creation. He will work wonders, understand everything, conquer death, and defeat the devil. He will be God in human form. You can write it on a post-it note, stick it to your fridge AND tell all your friends: GOD WILL BE BORN ON EARTH TO LIVE AND DIE FOR THE SALVATION OF MANKIND.”

God made a promise and God has kept His promise: the Savior has come! He wrote the script of salvation and has masterfully fulfilled every detail. May we have great confidence in our great God today!
