Just like Noah’s day?

The story of Noah, and those days before the great flood, is full of things to consider. But the main reason we should consider Noah’s day is because Jesus said we would see a return to “normalized wickedness” before His return.

Look around. Are we there? I know the proper “Christian” thing to do these days is wring my hands, scoff loudly, and declare the world a lost cause…but I’m not there yet.

In Noah’s day, Genesis 6:5 tells us that every inclination of the heart of mankind “was only evil continually”. God saw this and was grieved at such rampant, blatant wickedness…and he decided to wipe everyone out and start over with eight uncorrupted souls. Thank God that such judgment will NEVER happen again!

There WILL come a time when sin is “business as usual”…but unlike a lot of the Christian world, I’m not sure we’re there yet. I actually am watching a lot of moral and righteous Christians fighting for the right things here in America. My church is alive and well. For those who say the American Christian church is dead, they’re probably just in dead churches.

I’m also seeing a lot of people around the world who are tired of being lied to and want real justice in the world. That said, I think that this world is primed for a spiritual awakening and revival, and a turning toward the Lord.

Whether I’m right or wrong doesn’t really matter, what matters is that individual Christians draw a circle around themselves and ask the Lord to start a revival inside that circle.

If we don’t illuminate society with the light of God, you’d better believe that deception is waiting in the wings and ready to take advantage of desperate, fearful, needy people. Oh, how we need discerning Christians to shine for the Lord in this hour!

My friends, I truly believe we’re at a crossroads in the world. The world will certainly become rotten to the core at some point, but it doesn’t need to be on our watch.

Resist the wicked days of Noah.

  1. This is good counsel Eric, thank you brother! May we shine our light (Jesus!) In these darkening days in the hope that some may be saved for Heaven. The Lifeboat isn’t full yet! God bless you today brother 🙏

  2. Brother, I agree with your thought that it’s not over till it’s over. Christians are notorious for saying, “The world is the worst it’s ever been—it must be the end times.” The truth is, we do not know when Christ will return. No one does. Our responsibility is to spread the gospel and be the hands and feet of Jesus in our communities, and beyond.
