We are living in the last days…
We have been since Christ was crucified.
A lot has changed since Jesus Christ walked the planet. Human nature hasn’t changed, though. We’re all still lugging depraved hearts through life, doing our level best to keep our flesh in check…at least we SHOULD be.
We’re watching greater and greater apostasy (defection from the truth), and the scoffers have emerged to laugh and jeer about things that are Godly, holy, righteous, and biblical.
Scoffers refuse to live in a righteous and upright manner. Rather than serve the Lord and live in expectation of His soon return, they serve their own passions and lusts.
Scoffers laugh and mock the judgment that awaits them for rejecting the Truth of God’s Word.
Scoffers roll their eyes when they hear that God is going to pour out judgment and wrath upon the ungodly and the wicked.
The laughing will happen.
The judgment will happen.
Then the laughing will stop.
If you MEET a scoffer, speak the Truth and be as gracious as possible. Don’t be swayed by their sneers and jeers.
If you ARE a scoffer, sincerely seek the Lord and ask Him to reveal the Truth to your heart…He will. (Matthew 6:33)
I can only imagine what it will be like to see Jesus Christ face to face, then to kneel before Him as King.
But imagine how awkward and fearful it will be for those who have mocked Christ and scoffed at the Bible.
They, too, will bow before Him…and then they will be judged for their sins.
So, scoffers please beware. (Hebrews 10:31, Matthew 10:28, Romans 10:9-13)
