Are You Just a Big, Wet Lump?

“But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.”
Isaiah 64:8

Wet clay can be formed into intricate and beautiful works of art that are wonderful to behold.
It can also be formed into plates and mugs that are useful for everyday life.

When we submit ourselves to God, we kneel before Him as a wet mound of clay and say, “Master, mold me into what you need me to be.”

What does God then mold?
– Preachers and Teachers
– Peacemakers and Encouragers
– Prayer Warriors and Praise Warriors
– Counselors and Musicians
– Givers and Forgivers
– Comforters and Servants
– Leaders and Helpers

We must be soft and moldable.
We cannot be hard and dry.
Wet clay molds far easier than dry sand.

Submission to God is the key to ensuring that the molding process goes smoothly.
It’s about God forming us to meet His desires, not us telling God what we desire.

But when our desire is to please Him, that’s when true purpose is realized and His molding process makes more sense in our lives. (Psalm 37:4)

Don’t interrupt God as He forms you for your purpose…submit to Him.
He may be putting pressure on you through trials and challenges, but if you let Him work, the end product will be perfectly suited for you and Him.
Let Him form you into a vessel that will bring Him glory and honor.
