The Flood of Judgment

“And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.”

Luke 17:26-27

Floodwaters have a way of causing humanity to stop and reckon that there is a God in heaven who can create and destroy everything, including people.

In Noah’s day, the sins had become so wicked that God had judged them to be irredeemable. They had reached the point of no return. (God does have a limit.)

There are people today who are actively promoting, financing, and enjoying the flood of sin you see in society.

Ever wonder why award shows and Super Bowl halftime shows are consistently rife with open satanism, occultism, and sexually explicit behavior by “the stars”?

Why are pornography, alcoholism, drug use, theft, and violence increasing at an astounding rate?

Because, “…your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8)

Most people are being devoured by the destroyer. Most will never come to recognize God as Creator or Jesus Christ as Savior. They will sadly perish in their sins.
As it was in the days of Noah.

The people of God need to face this sober reality: there is a flood of judgment coming TO THE WORLD to eradicate the flood of sin happening IN THE WORLD.

Judgment first begins in the house of God. Let’s be sure that God finds us busy about His business and not involved in the sins which so easily beset us. Make changes today to eradicate habitual sin from your life.

Sin will take you further than you ever wanted to go.
Sin will keep you longer than you wanted to stay.
Sin will cost you more than you ever wanted to pay.

How do we avoid sin in a wicked world? Hide scripture in our hearts and resist the devil’s tempting lies with God’s truths…and never stop fighting sin.
