“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
Revelation 21:4
I’ve seen so many people leave this world.
The first family funeral I went to was for my Grandma.
I was 14 years old.
It was strange because I knew that she had died, and I knew that she was gone…but it wasn’t until we were getting ready to leave the funeral home that I realized I would never see her again. The tears flowed.
Fast forward through life, and I’ve lost count of the number of funerals I’ve attended. Some were saved and are now in heaven, and some were not and are now in hell as far as I know.
I’m just being plain with the facts.
I’ve come to realize that this world is the battlefield that Scripture tells us about.
It’s an emotional train ride that requires serious diligence and focus on God, otherwise the events of life can get overwhelming.
Remember the famous picture of the soldier kissing the nurse in New York City when World War 2 ended?
That was an expected response to celebrate an end of the violent things of war.
The battles, the bombs, the bullets, and the bloodshed were finally over.
Better times were coming…just look at the smiles surrounding that famous smooch.
Better times are coming for us, too.
Don’t get mired in the death, tears, and trials. They won’t last forever. This spiritual warfare is coming to a head, friends.
Jesus Christ is coming back to rule and reign for a thousand years.
He’s coming to wreck an evil system that has abused and subjugated humanity for generations.
Stay focused on that.
The best is yet to come.
