Part Four: God has me seeing stars

ā€œLet all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
For he spake, and it was done;
he commanded, and it stood fast.ā€

Psalm 33:8-9

Look around at Earth, the sky, and all of the laws which govern creation.
What you see in the year 2024 has been in effect since the time God created the heavens and the earth.

The stars still appear in the same order since when I was a kid.
The Big Dipper and the Little Dipper are still in their same positions.
The side of the Big Dipper still points to the North Star.
The North Star is still the end star of the Little Dipper’s handle.

Growing up in the countryside, these things fascinated me when I laid out in the field and gazed at the night sky.
There was no light pollution from streetlights or cities, there was only the moon and a million stars to stare at.
And they were ALWAYS in order…I always knew right where to find them.

The stars, planets, and constellations are a message to humanity: the God of all creation is powerful and in control.

He commanded the constellations to organize in certain patterns and they’ve never changed.
The planets still hold their orbit around the sun.
The stars are a twinkling map for humans to follow…you can sail around the world using ONLY THE STARS for your guide.
That’s amazing.

And all of those wondrous stars, constellations, and galaxies exist in the vacuum of outer space. Even in the coldest and darkest environment devoid of life, the majesty of God’s creative power is on full display.

Look up at night and see what He commanded so long ago…it’s still there. Let that encourage you today. Your God is eternally strong and in command of the universe.

  1. Good post brother Eric. And what makes His ordering of the stars more amazing is that the universe is expanding with more stars every day…but He holds our visible stars in the same place where He placed them in the Beginning! He truly is an awesome God.

May our Father God continue to guide and bless you today brother šŸ™
