A Good Morning Prayer

“My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.”
Psalm 5:3

“Good morning, Lord!
Thank you so much for waking me up this morning. This is the day that you have made, and I want to rejoice and be glad today.

I trust that you will provide me the daily bread that I need today, both spiritually and physically.
Just as food nourishes my body, your Word nourishes my soul.
Holy Spirit, please remind me of specific verses that will be needed throughout the day.

Please help my mind to be sharp today. Help me to focus on the tasks at hand and grant me the strength and patience to do them well.

At the same time, please help me to remember that I am stepping onto a spiritual battlefield today.
Please keep me from snares and stumbling blocks that have been laid by the devil who desires to distract and destroy me.

I ask you to bless my family and friends today with strength and faith.
Please give them the resolve to say “No” to sin and temptation, and please give them the faith to say “Yes” to your will and your Word.

I love you Lord, thank you for a new day. Please bring me a divine appointment today with someone who I can share the gospel with.
Make me a blessing to SOMEONE today.

I ask these things in the matchless name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.”
