The Way of the Wicked

“The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.”
Proverbs 4:19

The devil is very clever.
He can tempt, deceive, and lead a person down a terrible path of wickedness.

The sweetest baby in a diaper, with the most adorable smile, can eventually be sitting on death row in prison.
Sad thought, but a true one.

Or, that same baby could grow up and be groomed for an unknown role of wickedness in society. Satan grooms kids. He’s a creep.

But the devil will NEVER show up and say, “Aha! See what you’ve become? I am the reason you’re mired in sin, bondage, and crisis.”

Rather, the course of temptation and sin will often blind the eyes of the wicked, to the degree that they don’t even know WHY they do those evil things anymore.

Their lives become dark…
Their reasoning skewed…
Their relationships suffer…

And the devil steps back and watches the self-destruction.
Another lost soul spiraling out of control.

If the wicked were shown the end of the dark path when they were first tempted to sin, many never would have started that sin.

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
Proverbs 14:12

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23

The wicked have a way out if they’ll just humble themselves and call upon Jesus Christ.
He is the only Light that can shine through their dark and stumbling journey of doom.

Shine the light of Christ, friends.
Perhaps the wicked will see it and stumble toward Jesus.
