Giving for God

“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”
2 Corinthians 9:7

Generosity is the denial of self for the betterment of others. Generous people are special.

I love to be around generous people and watch how they care for others with their time, talents, wealth, and resources.

Generous people are busy like everyone else, but they still find time in their busy schedules to help other people…because time spent helping others is a wise investment.

Generous people have talents which they use to promote and prosper others. Generous people do what they can to contribute their specific talents wherever they’re needed.

Generous people love to give.
Whether rich or poor, they find great joy in giving money to those in need, even when they have needs themselves. They treasure people, not wealth.

Generous people use whatever resources they can to meet needs around them. They’re willing to call on their connections and use whatever it takes to get things moving for others.

God loves a generous, cheerful giver.
A cheerful giver is happy to give because it makes God and others happy.

Today is a great day to give something that will help others and glorify God!

  1. Those who are generous “treasure people, not wealth.” This is a great summary sentence for this wonderful post, brother.
“God loves a cheerful giver.” I forget the address, but Paul said that—I think to the church at Corinth.
    Blessings, my brother!
