“I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.”
Psalm 34:4
The world is changing, whether we like it or not.
Politically, socially, spiritually, economically, emotionally…you cannot look at this world today and say that things are “just swell.” Things will be getting crazier as the devil attempts to thrust the world into a technocratic, globalist nightmare.
We can react with fear.
Or, we can respond with faith.
Fear says: “I’m trapped. I’m overwhelmed. There’s no way out of this situation. If God wanted to act, He would have by now. The world is unraveling and so am I.
The enemy is inside the gate, and I am out of options. I pray and nothing happens. What is happening?! God?”
Faith says: “I trust you, LORD, even in the midst of an uncertain world. I believe that nothing surprises You or overwhelms You. When I am overwhelmed, lead me to the rock of Truth, and there I will find rest for my soul.
I am alive for such a time as this.
Help me to do what you’ve called me to do, as I wait on You to do what only You can do.”
We must walk in faith, one step at a time.
One prayer at a time.
One obedient act at a time.
One “Praise the LORD” at a time.
God is rearranging the world.
You have a role in His work today.
Ask God to deliver you from fear.
He most certainly will.
I can testify. He heard this poor man and delivered me from all my fears.
What God has shown me is simple:
Fear loses. Faith wins. Every time.

Thank you for this precious devotional today Eric. Psalm 34 and the quoted verse are very dear to me; they remind me of God’s provisions when I was in hospital with my first brain tumour 22 years ago. He is a Good and Gracious Father indeed! Fear has no part in the life of those who lean on Him each day. God bless you richly today brother 🙏

Beautifully encapsulates the tension between fear and faith in the face of a rapidly changing world. It’s a powerful reminder that while the world may seem chaotic and daunting, we have a choice in how we respond. Fear can paralyze us, but faith offers strength and direction. By trusting in God’s plan and taking deliberate steps of faith, we find peace and purpose. This message encourages us to remain steadfast, rely on divine guidance, and believe that, ultimately, faith will triumph over fear.

Amen! I just read Psalm 112:7-8 this morning which goes right along with your post. “He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is secure, he will have no fear; in the end he will look in triumph on his foes.”

Your explanation of the differences between reacting with fear as opposed to reacting with faith is straightforward and powerful. The last sentence is a fabulous finale. Thanks, Eric. 🙂
