“For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”
1 Corinthians 1:19
Most people have a three-pound piece of gray matter between their ears.
What can the human brain do?
Well, if you have lunch with a friend, your brain processes and/or coordinates:
Your seated position, your environment, sounds, smells, tastes, sights, memories, fine motor skills, chewing, swallowing, digestion, thinking, speaking, breathing, drinking, body temperature, food temperature, room temperature, hydration, etc.
The human brain is amazing, only because God is an amazing designer.
Science has studied God’s design of the brain and applied it to most of the technologies that we have today.
Our cars, computers, and smartphones all have Central Processing Units that do for our devices what our brains do for our bodies.
I think mankind has entered a territory where we actually think we can innovate God right out of our lives.
Put a smartphone and a search engine in someone’s hand and they’ll soon think they don’t need God anymore…pure foolishness.
Just wait until the next technologies come out.
Get ready to see smart glasses that allow you to communicate with people of any language…glasses which hear, interpret, and project speech onto the lens…and then interpret your response back.
How about contact lenses and glasses that let you see in the dark?
Sounds pretty cool…I’m all for any innovations that HELP humanity.
But sooner or later, God is going to remind everyone that He is the source of all wisdom, and the three-pound brains that HE gave US fail miserably to match His intellect…no matter how many cool gadgets we can muster.
He can easily destroy our wisdom.
How? All He has to do is stand next to us.
Christ destroyed the wisdom of the Pharisees simply by interacting with them. Those exchanges revealed their ignorance and His intellect.
All God has to do is give mankind enough rope and we’ll hang ourselves. Thank God that He limits our technological advancements, because at the end of the day, sinners always trend toward self-destruction.
History teaches us that.
My God is phenomenally brilliant.
We have no concept of the depths of His wisdom. If you’re impressed by the human brain, just consider the One who made it. The human brain is a speck of wisdom He has allowed us to experience today.

Excellent post; totally agree.
