One Day Closer

“Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.”
James 5:8

Today we’re one day closer to the return of the Lord or our heavenly promotion.
One day closer to ending the madness.
One day closer to ending the darkness.
One day closer to seeing the King.

Christ the King is alive and well.
It’s good to know that we’re not just spinning on this planet with nobody in control, waiting to see what happens at the end of it all.

We know what happens at the end.
The King is going to take the reins and rule and reign this planet and all of eternity in righteousness.
Is your heart ready for that?

This life is a proving ground for the next one. The trials of this life are meant to teach us patience and dependency on God…that will help us have a smooth transition into His Kingdom.

When you enlist in the military, you don’t show up, pick up a weapon, and get thrown into war: your first stop is basic training.
And you don’t show up to basic training without being able to run and do push-ups, sit-ups, and pull-ups.
You get ready for basic training by training in the basics.

My point? This life is basic training for the next chapter with Him. Embrace discipline. Embrace righteousness. Embrace truth. Embrace being “square”.
Embrace doing what’s right.

Why? Because the King is coming.
And that’s what He’s looking for in His servants.

Establish your heart in Him.
Be a disciple of Jesus Christ.
We’re one day closer to Him today.
