“The devil comes to steal, and kill, and destroy…” John 10:10
This verse gives the motus operandi of the devil…but there’s another thing the devil comes to do: DISTRACT.
God will never try to distract you from doing right and fulfilling your calling in this world.
Yes, life gets busy.
Yes, situations arise.
Yes, things happen.
But the only one prowling to distract us from the TRUTH and our calling is Satan.
And he’s filling the airwaves with a lot of distractions to shift our eyes from what matters in this world:
The propagation of truth, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and justice in an increasingly lawless world.
But the devil has flaws.
His deception very often drives people to seek Truth.
His hatred very often drives people to the love of God.
His wickedness very often drives people to Jesus Christ.
His persecution very often builds the churches he seeks to destroy.
The devil is a loser.
He’ll never win in the end.
And God will never lose.
Good post indeed…we have read the end of His Book and we are going to win! Satan is doomed.
God bless you today brother 🙏

He is super doomed and he knows it…I hope that he’s sweating right now, because real heat is coming for him.
Have a blessed day my friend!

Your list of the devil’s flaws is encouraging-and revealing of Satan’s persistent guile. Thanks for your reflections! 🙂

Satan doesn’t operate with patience…I believe he operates with hostility and hatred…and he is most certainly persistent with his deceptions.
He can never lead successfully because his nature is chaos, corruption, and destruction…useful only as a tool in Gods hand to give man a choice between good and evil.
Does he even realize he’s a created tool? Or has pride fully convinced him that he is actually God?
No matter, he will fall, and the redeemed will watch it happen.
God bless you today, Nancy!

What a timely reminder! I also love the picture you posted.
Satan is a liar and deceiver! So, I will keep my eyes on Jesus and lift my shield of faith to deflect those fiery darts. We all know who wins at the end. 😉

So true, Heather! Onward Christian soldiers!
I had to laugh at that picture, it made me remember that we have a Redeemer, who is able to swiftly arrive and confound the works of darkness.
Christ has boobytrapped the devil all the way to the end.
We have complete, eternal victory!

Yes! I love those stories in the Bible where God confuses the enemy and they annihilate each other! God’s people never even had to lift a finger. He is our Defender!
