I remember being about five years old and having my first deep thought…it went something like this:
What if I wasn’t alive? Would I still be me if I didn’t exist here? What else is there beyond this world?
Fast forward about twenty-five years and I had another thought:
What if every person on the planet stopped and prayed to God at the same time? What would happen? Would He respond?
Those two thoughts left me staring at the wall when I had them. Many times in life we have profound or overwhelming moments where our minds go into hyperdrive trying to process deep and complex things.
God made us to be curious. One of the saddest things is when a human being is no longer curious about life. When the human heart disengages from life and the mind stops pondering, the focus becomes strictly inward instead of outward (and upward) toward God.
You have deep questions and need wisdom. I know you do. So do I. Do you take life before God with your whole heart? If you were dying of thirst would you approach a cool stream with timidity or wholly immerse yourself in it?
God promises that if we seek him WITH OUR WHOLE HEART, that we would find Him. A soul that completely engages the Lord is a soul that will completely find Him.
Stay thirsty and curious, my friends. Seek Him with everything you’ve got…then be amazed at how He answers you.

Excellent post Eric – folk may ignore us, but our Father God will not ignore us when we seek Him. This has to be the most reassuring thought we can hold onto each day. God bless you today brother 🙏

Thanks brother, you’re exactly right…nobody listens or hears us like God the Father!
God Bless you richly, brother!

You know, I STILL catch myself thinking those exact same thoughts, and they’re still profound to me…even as a believer.🤔😊
