Before printing presses or mass communication, messages were hand-deliveredāwritten on parchment, sealed, and sent personally from one heart to another. The apostle Paul used that image to describe what the life of a believer should look like. He said Christians are living epistlesāletters written by Christ Himself. Our lives are Godās message to the world.
Every word we speak, every decision we make, and every attitude we display tells a story about the One who has changed us. When people āreadā your life, what message do they see? Do they see forgiveness, compassion, patience, and graceāor anger, fear, and pride? Paul reminds us that the world forms its opinion of Christ largely through the lives of those who claim to follow Him.
Ink fades and paper burns, but the life of a true believer is a permanent letter, written not by human hands but by the Holy Spirit. We may be the only Bible some people will ever read, and that means our daily walk matters.
Your identity in Christ is not just something you believeāitās something you live. Let your life declare Godās mercy and truth in ways that words alone never could. Be a letter so radiant and genuine that others canāt help but read the name of Jesus Christ written across your life.

Wow Eric! What encouraging but also sobering words today! May we walk carefully with our Lord in this world, that His light may shine from us. Thank you for sharing this meditation brother. May our Father God continue to guide and bless you in His Word and presence š

Amen Eric! I love that line and it is so true, about the paper and ink being temporary, but Christ message in our hearts lasting forever. Thanks for the reminder.

Those are sobering words, indeed! When I think of all the mistakes that I make daily, I wonder what my letter looks like to others. I pray that the Holy Spirit will help me shine God’s light so brightly that others see only Him…not me.

Exactly, my previous Pastor would say, āDid others see Jesus in you this weekā¦or did they just see you?ā
Good to ponder these things! Have a great day!
