The Power of Prayer

Does prayer actually work? I believe that the fervent, effectual prayers of the righteous really reach the heart of the Father.

You’re going through a trial right now, and so am I. The Bible says that God is a stronghold in the day of trouble, and He knows those who trust Him. (Nahum 1:7)

The Bible also says that we can cast all of our care upon Him, because He cares for us. (1 Peter 5:7)

Today, if you’re willing, I’d like you to share a prayer request in the comments section. Be as specific as you’re comfortable with, but if you’d like me and others to pray for your request please share it.

It would be my privilege and honor to lift your needs before our Heavenly Father today. Let’s see what God will do when the saints pray for each other! I’m trusting God to do mighty things for you!

The door won’t open unless we knock…

  1. Excellent encouragement to pray in faith – thank you brother Eric! 👍 This sits well with my recent meditations on Genesis 24 and the prayers of Abraham’s chief servant: Before he had finished speaking, behold, Rebekah who was born to Bethuel the son of Milcah, the wife of Abraham’s brother Nahor, came out with her jar on her shoulder.
    — Genesis 24:15, see how God answered his prayers instantly! It also reminds me of Daniel 10:12 where Gabriel tells Daniel that his prayer was heard the first time he prayed. This is the resources we have in prayer…God is Good! I am leading Bible study today and preaching on Sunday too; I can do with all the prayer I can get. God bless you and your family today brother 🙏

  2. Thank you for this, Eric! Yes, prayer is powerful!

I had a health scare earlier this week with chest pain. It turned out to be something benign, but since then my BP has been very high and I woke up with a migraine this morning. Please pray for healing.

I’m praying for Alan and Traci, and for you Eric! God is good!
